Bio
TRUSTEE (real name Tate Downes) is an Australian DJ emerging from the country’s underground club circuit, with a growing presence across Melbourne, Sydney, and Brisbane. Since debuting around 2024, TRUSTEE has quickly become associated with forward-thinking club nights and bass-driven lineups, appearing at venues like Revolver Upstairs and The Night Cat while sharing bills with both local and international artists. His sets sit firmly within the UK-influenced club spectrum, often drawing from broken rhythms and high-energy dancefloor styles—ranging from jungle and UK garage to bass music and club hybrids. This approach reflects a new wave of Australian DJs pushing fast, groove-heavy and rhythm-focused sounds into contemporary nightlife spaces.
