Calibro 35 vs L.A.

Since 2007, Calibro 35 have been redefining cinematic funk, blending murky grooves, hypnotic rhythms, and urban psychedelia.

Sampled by Dr. Dre and JAY-Z and sharing stages with Roy Ayers, Sun Ra Arkestra, Thundercat and Robert Glasper, they’ve carved a reputation as one of the most exciting independent bands on the planet.

Fresh from composing the soundtrack for Francesco Zippel’s award-winning documentary *Ellroy vs. L.A.*, Calibro 35 transform James Ellroy’s dark, noir-soaked Los Angeles into a visceral musical journey — cinematic crime funk at its finest.

Their new album brings the city’s dark, cinematic energy alive — a hypnotic collision of crime, funk, and imagination.
