pressure control x SC&P: Alessandro Adriani, babyschön + DJ Subaru & Harry James + Josh Bayat

pressure control returns to South-East London at MOT — hand-in-hand with left-field co-conspirators SC&P.

Alessandro Adriani has long been drawn to the more arcane corners of electronic music. His work as head of Mannequin has seen him pushing the most forward thinking techno, electro, minimal synth and EBM since 2008. As a producer, the Berlin-based Italian’s exploits on L.I.E.S, Pinkman, and his own imprint, have rightly been much celebrated: delivering cinematic, hardware-driven future-classics for the dancefloor and beyond. He’s no slouch behind the booth either, recently spreading his signature cold-waves across UNFOLD, Panorama Bar, Tresor and RSO.

Joining him are babyschön and DJ Subaru — two trouble-makers united by a shared proclivity for the sleazy + obscure:

Subaru’s PleasureMaxxx parties, situated at beloved Leeds spot Hope House, are quickly entering cult-status for discerning dancers in West Yorkshire. Recently hosting the likes of Sound Metaphors and Andrea Dama [Cocktail d’amore], it is the place to be for spellbinding italo, proto-house gems, and eclectic synth sounds.

NTS resident babyschön is best known for breezing through new wave, synth-pop, acid, new beat and more on her weekly show. An SC&P regular, she’s also linked up with Tblisi’s legendary Mutant Radio crew and our dear friends at Club Blanco, as well as playing recent gigs on the continent at Sameheads, Ost and Ruke.

SC&P and pressure control residents Harry James + Josh Bayat go blow-for-blow on warm up.
