Gyroscope are an acclaimed Australian rock band formed in Perth, Western Australia in 1997. They began as *Gyroscope Sunday* and quickly became one of the standout acts in the country’s alternative rock scene, earning a reputation for powerful live shows and a dynamic catalogue. Over nearly three decades, Gyroscope have released multiple studio albums and singles that charted across Australia. Their major label debut *Sound Shattering Sound* (2004) marked their arrival on the national stage, while later releases like *Are You Involved?* (2005) and the #1‑peaking *Breed Obsession* (2008) solidified their status in the rock pantheon. Tracks such as *“Snakeskin,”* *“Baby I’m Getting Better,”* and *“Australia”* became staples on radio and at festivals, leading to ARIA Award nominations and Gold certifications.
