Beefheart & McQuinn is a collaborative project between UK musician William Murray (Moby Beefheart) of the band Fur and Melbourne/Naarm artist Winter McQuinn (Sunfruits, jade imagine). Formed after a chance meeting over coffee, the duo draws inspiration from the folk and rock sounds of the 1960s and 1970s while crafting a contemporary blend of psychedelic folk and soft rock. Their music is characterized by rich vocal harmonies, warm analog-style production, and thoughtful songwriting exploring themes of isolation, connection, and modern life. Since releasing singles such as "Hand In Hand," "Do It Again," "Yesterdays and Younger Days," and "Six Feet Under," the duo has earned support from triple j and toured internationally, establishing themselves as a distinctive voice in modern psychedelic folk.
