Bio
Flight to Dubai are an Australian band from Newcastle, New South Wales, known for their energetic mix of rock and alternative styles. Formed around 2011, the group built a strong following in the local music scene through frequent live performances across Newcastle and the Hunter Valley. They developed a reputation for high-energy shows and a versatile sound that can shift between acoustic sets and full electric performances. Their music blends funk, punk, and alternative rock influences, creating a raw and upbeat style that sits outside mainstream pop. Early releases and EPs helped them gain traction in the Australian independent scene, with tracks circulating through platforms like Triple J Unearthed and local gigs. The band is also associated with a DIY approach to music, recording and releasing material independently while steadily building a grassroots fanbase through live touring.
