Nancy and the Jam Fancys are a 5-piece band from Moruya in South East NSW, Australia. Formed out of small-town boredom, they channel raw energy into a mix of indie, punk, and rock influenced by classic Australian alternative acts. Their sound is gritty, loud, and high-energy, often combining driving guitar riffs with a lo-fi, DIY punk attitude and anthemic indie-rock hooks. The band has drawn comparisons to acts like Radio Birdman, The Saints, Midnight Oil, and contemporary punk/alt-rock groups. They’re part of the new wave of Australian coastal regional bands bringing back fast, aggressive, and melodic guitar music with a modern edge, shaped by DIY culture and live performance intensity.
