Bio
Shag Rock is an Australian indie-rock outfit from Brisbane, known for their laid-back, sun-soaked sound that blends jangly guitars with breezy coastal vibes. Emerging in the late 2010s, the band quickly built a following through catchy, feel-good tracks that reflect Australia’s beach culture and carefree lifestyle. Shag Rock gained traction with releases like “Sunroom” and “Day By Day,” earning strong streaming numbers and regular rotation on youth radio such as triple j. Their sound is often compared to other Australian acts in the coastal indie scene, combining melodic hooks with relaxed rhythms and nostalgic tones. Known for energetic live shows and a strong connection with younger audiences, Shag Rock have toured extensively across Australia, appearing at festivals and headline gigs while continuing to release upbeat, guitar-driven music.
