Bio
The Velvet Club is a Melbourne (Naarm), Australia-based indie rock band known for their energetic live performances and melodic, guitar-driven sound. Since beginning to tour nationally in 2022, the band has built a loyal following through sold-out hometown headline shows, festival appearances, and support slots for Australian acts including Hockey Dad, The Jungle Giants, DICE, The Rions, Rum Jungle, and Tyne James Organ. Their music blends hazy indie rock with jangly guitars, catchy hooks, and introspective lyrics that explore relationships, mental health, friendship, and the challenges of navigating life in your twenties. The band's sound draws inspiration from artists such as The Strokes, The Vaccines, DMA'S, Rolling Blackouts Coastal Fever, and The Drums. Recent releases include "Anything," "Blue," "We Don't Talk," and "Alone," with their debut album *Are You Falling In Love?* receiving praise from triple j for its authentic songwriting and vibrant indie rock style.
